Information on the processing of personal data under the GDPR
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Victor Castano
Regensburger Str. 25
10777 Berlin
Germany
Email: hi@10folders.com
We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer.
2. Hosting
This website is hosted on the infrastructure of Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you visit the site, Vercel automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is processed to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a stable, secure presentation of the website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
Data may be transferred to the USA. Such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, Vercel's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Vercel. See Vercel's privacy policy.
3. Appointment booking (Google Calendar)
To book a call, we embed Google's Appointment Scheduling tool (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The booking widget is loaded only after you actively choose to open it. When you do, your browser connects to Google's servers and the data you enter (such as name, email, and chosen time) is processed by Google in order to arrange the appointment. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA.
The legal basis is your consent given by opening the booking widget (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by not using the widget and contacting us by email instead. For details see Google's privacy policy.
4. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, the data you provide will be processed to handle your request and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) and, where the enquiry concerns a contract, the performance of (pre-)contractual measures (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). We delete this data once it is no longer required and there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary.
5. Fonts
Web fonts are self-hosted and served directly from our own server. They are notloaded from Google's servers, so no connection to Google is established and no data is transferred when fonts are displayed.
6. Cookies and local storage
We do not set tracking cookies and we do not use analytics or advertising services. The only data stored in your browser is your chosen colour theme (light/dark), kept in local storage as a convenience setting. It contains no personal data, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time via your browser settings. Because no non-essential cookies or trackers are used, no consent banner is required.
7. Encryption
This site uses TLS (SSL) encryption to protect the transmission of data, recognizable by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR);
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR);
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR);
- withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@10folders.com.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (BlnBDI)
Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany
